About us
A champagne journey that began in 1983
Perpétuelle is a champagne import and representation agency focused on carefully selected producers rather than the biggest brands.
Our name means "in constant development" — a philosophy that permeates both our brand and our selection of champagnes. We prioritize producers with passion, dedication and development potential over size.
1983 
The Beginning
It all started during a ski trip to Chamonix, when Peter Fransson sat in a restaurant after a day on the slopes. At the next table, a group opened a bottle of champagne — with a proper pop. The room filled with a spontaneous "oooooh" followed by applause from all the guests. Right then and there it struck Peter: "If that's all it takes to get applause — then I should start with champagne."
2005 
Establishment in Épernay
Peter rents an apartment in Épernay — the heart of Champagne — together with some friends. What began as recurring trips quickly developed into a unique and warm network in the region. Over the years, close relationships were built with growers, cooperatives, export managers, and "presidents" of champagne houses.
2015 
First Import
Private importing begins. Peter & Pierre meet and start building their knowledge about importing. Peter continues to develop his wine cellar with carefully selected champagnes.
2018 
The Network Grows
The network expands and the relationship with Bertrand Lilbert at Champagne Lilbert-Fils deepens.
2019 
Perpétuelle Founded
Peter Fransson and Pierre Gewerth found Perpétuelle AB. From the start in 2018, the company represents producers Maurice Grumier and Lilbert-Fils at Systembolaget and establishes itself as an agency.
2020 
Champagne de Venoge
Perpétuelle begins representing the prestigious champagne house de Venoge.
2022 
Passion by Perpétuelle
In the middle of the pandemic, Pierre & Peter create their own champagne together with Fabien Grumier. The name comes from our passion for the noble drink.
2023 
Oak Barrels for Own Champagne
Years of thoughts become reality. Ahead of the 2022 harvest, our first own oak barrels were purchased to create a truly unique champagne. The exceptional harvest led Pierre & Peter, together with winemaker Fabien Grumier, to age Pinot Noir in one barrel and Chardonnay in the other. At bottling in 2023, a harmonious 50/50 blend was created. The bottles have not yet been released.

The inspiration for champagne came in 1983 on a ski trip to Chamonix. Established his network from Épernay in 2005 and started private importing together with Pierre that same year. Founded Perpétuelle as a professional agency in 2018.

Founder & owner
Founder of Perpétuelle with a focus on broadening the champagne market and reaching more champagne lovers in Sweden.
Champagne Tasting
An inspiring experience for all the senses
In addition to importing and selling champagne, we also offer inspiring tastings where participants learn about champagne, grapes, terroir and aging methods.
Our champagne expert Peter Fransson leads the tasting through a selection of champagnes and vintages, where you get to explore differences and discover new favourites.
